Vacant position exists in Guiness Nigeria as they are recruiting Business and Consumer Planning Analyst. Critical to success for Guinness Nigeria  and beyond is the opportunity to study and apply breakthrough and strategic thinking to Brand Building through detailed Competitive & business analysis for future planning and effective Controls, Compliance & Ethics.


Location: Lagos based with some travels within/ outside Nigeria
Function: Marketing
Type of Job: Full Time – Exempt
Level: L6 (M3)
Reports To: Head of Consumer Planning & Research



Purpose:
  • Working closely with the Head of Consumer Planning & Research and the Marketing Director, this role is responsible for developing, analysing and generating insights from primary & secondary research

  • The role holder will work closely with the Marketing team to ensure performance dashboard & scorecards are accurately maintained with Brand Activities and business targets.
Dimensions:
  • Leadership and Functional ResponsibilitiesWork closely with other functional teams and external agencies e.g. consultants, benchmark companies etc
  • Management and Accountability for Business Unit Monthly Reporting
  • Maintains business critical controls & compliance documentation to ensure complete transparency across the Portfolio
  • Keep abreast of consumer, customer trends across markets
  • Able to manage research agencies and projects
  • Be experienced in dealing with strategic and tactical brand issues, able to effectively implement consumer& trade learning from a variety of tools
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • University degree in Marketing /Business or other related discipline
  • 1 – 2 years Brand, Trade marketing or Research analytics experience
  • Good communications skills able to facilitate and lead discussions
  • Strong analytical skills – able to integrate learning from multiple sources and generate insights and innovative strategies from external and internal data
  • Demonstrates high marketing Judgement – understands the true consumer impact of our brand building “output” by using logical criteria with practical instinct to judge
  • Ability to use performance measurement tools & sound financial management

Barriers to Success in Role
  • Inability to work in and influence a cross functional team
  • Inability to work under own initiative / poor numerate skills
  • Does not possess an insatiable appetite for learning & application
  • Inability to learn fast, adaptation to a new, flexible role and manage relationships with varied stakeholders
