2013 University Of Westminster Masters Scholarship for Developing Countries

The University of Westminster offers a wide range of scholarships for students from developing countries to study for masters’ degree at the university in 2013/2014 academic year.
Unless you are eligible for any of the specific scholarships below, you should tell the admission office honestly the level of funding you require. And if you are awarded a scholarship, the university will decide which one to offer you.

Masters Scholarships at University of Westminster for African and Developing Countries

DEADLINE dates for receipt of applications are as follows:
  • 31 May 2013 for September 2013 postgraduate scholarships
  • 1 November 2013 for January 2014 postgraduate scholarships.
Full Fee Waiver Scholarships
The University offers a number of full tuition fee waiver scholarships to you if you are an exceptionally well-qualified student. Please note that this covers tuition fees only, not living expenses or accommodation.

Amount:         Full tuition fee waivers.
Eligibility:       You must hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.
Criteria:          Academic excellence, financial need and development case (if you are applying from a developing country).
Deadline:        01 November 2013
Half Fee Waiver Scholarships
The University offers a number of half tuition fee waiver scholarships to you if you are an exceptionally well-qualified student.
Amount:         Half tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:       You must hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.
Criteria:          Academic excellence and financial need. You must have some knowledge and experience of the UK public relations sector.
Deadline:        31 May 2013
MBA Scholarships
Westminster Business School’s MBA is accredited by The Association of MBAs – which proves the high quality of our programme and gives our students access to the (AMBA) resources including alumni and career development.
Amount:              Up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for the full-time MBA degree at the University.
Criteria:               Academic excellence, career progression and financial need.
Deadline:            01 December 2013
Part Fee Waiver Scholarships
The University offers a number of part (£2,000) tuition fee waiver scholarships to you if you are an exceptionally well-qualified international student.
Amount:              Half tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at the University.
Criteria:               Academic excellence and financial need. You must have some knowledge and experience of the UK public relations sector.
 Deadline:            31 May 2013


Westminster Business School (WBS) Part-Time Scholarships
Westminster Business School is one of London’s leading centres for business education.
Amount:              Up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility:           You must hold an offer for any full-time Masters degree, excluding the MBA, within Westminster Business School at the University.
Criteria:               Academic excellence and/or evidence of excellence in previous employment, business and community services.
Deadline:            01 November 2013

Westminster International Scholarships
 These generous awards are aimed at fully funding you if you are from a developing country and will study a full-time Masters degree at the University.
Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.
Eligibility:           You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree.
Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential. Preference will be given to junior faculty members of our partner Universities in Vietnam.
Deadline:            01 November 2013

Sylvia Pankhurst Scholarship
With the participation and permission of the Pankhurst family, and in association with the Jethro Institute for Good Governance, this scholarship is available to students from Ethiopia. While Ms. Pankhurst’s work as a suffragette is well known, less well known is her work in Ethiopia, where she raised awareness of Mussolini’s atrocities in that country and helped to found the first teaching hospital in Ethiopia.
Amount:              Full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.
Eligibility:           You must be a student from Ethiopia and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree in at the University.
Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.
Deadline:            31 May 2013
 
Tourism Management MA Scholarship
The tourism industry is one of the few global industries forecast to grow in the long term. This well-established and recently updated course will give you the knowledge, analytical abilities and skills you need in developing tourism in your region.
Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.
Eligibility:           You must be student from a developing country and hold an offer for the full-time Tourism Management MA at the University.
Criteria:               Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.
Deadline:            31 May 2013

African Prisons Project Scholarship
In partnership with the African Prisons Project, the aim of these scholarships is to encourage prison reform in Africa. These scholarships are for members of prison staff from an African country.
Amount:              Full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.
Eligibility:           This is a ‘closed’ scholarship in conjunction with the African Prisons Project.
Criteria:               Academic excellence, financial need and development potential.
